Do you want to get involved, but aren't quite sure how?  Well you've come to the right place.  This page is intended to list some of the volunteer opportunities that currently exist at St. David's so take a breath, and dive in!

Pastoral Care Opportunities

We would like to invite you to share some of your precious volunteer time with us this year. Is there a moment, between organizing for school, childcare, sports and activity registration and all of those other volunteer commitments, that you could consider us?

Less than one hour twice a year of your time would deliver 1-3 people to a Sunday service! Two volunteer hours offered from your home would allow up to 10 St. David’s Families to receive a telephone contact from you, with a prepared  information format. (Commun-I-Care.) Pastoral Care also has opportunities through, visitations, card ministry, Healing Touch, bereavement support, casserole group, prayer shawls, prayer chain or serving on the core committee itself. No previous experience required in most cases!

Commune-I-Care

Commune-I-Care is a ministry that reaches out by phone to our church family twice a year--just to stay in touch. These calls enable us to share joys, special events and to identify concerns. This is a call for pastoral purposes only. We have a referral system that is strictly confidential.

This ministry is entering its 9th year! For the continued success of this program we need several more callers to accommodate all families who wish to be called.  PLEASE Consider volunteering for this ministry. Phone calls are made 2x a year.  For more info please call the church 284-2276.

Prayer Shawl Ministry Group

We are a small and dedicated group who have found the joy and mystery of making shawls for others. We pray that these Shawls bring hope, comfort, support and healing to whom ever receives these gifts.  If you are able to knit/crochet and would enjoy companionship, meditation, and a quiet time in service for others, please consider joining us.. We meet the 2nd Monday of each month at the Church. 

If you have donations of yarn - enough to make a shawl please call 286-4836.   At this time we would like to thank each of you who have made shawls for this wonderful ministry.

Inn From The Cold
